Quartetto Sorrento

Quartetto Sorrento has performed in concert at University of San Diego, Grossmont College, Palomar College, Classics at the Merc series in Temecula, various libraries in San Diego and the UCSD Outreach program.Each of our members has distinguished themselves as fine solo performing artists, chamber musicians, orchestral musicians and pedagogues.We perform music ranging from Haydn and Mozart to Shostakovich, Debussy and Thompson, including works by our cellist and composer, Gordon Grubbs.

About our members:
Alyze Dreiling is the founding Artistic Director/Conductor of national award winning youth Philharmonic Orchestra. She serves on the faculty at USD where she is the violinist for the piano trio in residence, Trio Licenza. She has also recorded for Contemporary Recording Society.

Ondrei Lewitt has performed on stages throughout Europe notably in Spain, Italy and Mexico. Now in San Diego he has performed with California Consort and California Chamber Orchestra (concertmaster and assistant concertmaster), Hutchins Consort, and most recently with Quartetto Sorrento.

Paula Simmons is the founding member of Quaretto Sorrento. She is also the conductor /Artistic Director of North Coast Strings as well as Owner/Partner of The Violin Shop.

Gordon Grubbs is on the faculty at Grossmont College and is principal cellist of the Grossmont Symphony and Grossmont String Quartet.
