HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE SHOULD I HAVE BEFORE I CAN JOIN THE CLASS?
No worries about being new to playing strings.  We can adjust the course material to meet each student at their playing level.

DO I NEED TO HAVE MY OWN INSTRUMENT TO SIGN UP?
No instrument yet? No problem! You can rent a violin, viola or cello from our shop.  For more details on renting and sizing, you can call the shop at 760-452-6328.

WHO ARE MY TEACHERS?
Jennifer Albrent and Corrie Covell developed this program for string students to find joy and community in learning to play music together. This collaboration is a special one for them, as they played as kids together in string class...well, lets just say a while ago!

Jin Taguchi will lead Ready, Set, Strings! and Playing Around
A lifelong music professional, Jin worked as a violinist/violist in the LA area as a performer and public school educator, coaching award winning school orchestras. He recently relocated to San Diego County, and has already established himself as a valued asset to the string community.

Dan Bailey will teach Getting Jazzy With It
A piano educator and sought-after performer who has worked extensively with string instrumentalists, Dan is known for his warm and engaging teaching style. If you have a chance to join this intro jazz ensemble, you are in for a treat!

CAN I TAKE MORE THAN ONE CLASS?
Yes, absolutely, and we encourage it! Each class will build on a different skill area, which will accelerate your student's musicianship and give them a chance to explore the different aspects of their instrument in greater depth. If you sign up for all three, a discount will be applied at checkout.

WILL THERE BE A PERFORMANCE AT THE END OF THE SESSION?
Yes! Parents will be invited to a mini performance during the final class of the session.
